Earth Class Mail uses LegalZoom sign-in credentials for account access. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) changes must be completed through the LegalZoom account portal.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account and is required to access your mailbox.
If you need to update your MFA settings or regain access to your account, follow the steps below.
If You Can Still Access Your Account
If you’re currently logged in and simply want to update your MFA method:
- Go to: https://www.legalzoom.com/my/login
- Sign in to your account
- Click your name in the top-right corner
- Select Account Settings
- Open the Security tab
- Update either:
- Your phone number
- Your authentication app
Your changes will take effect immediately for future logins.
If You’re Locked Out of Your Account
If you can’t receive your MFA code or no longer have access to your device:
- Go to: https://www.legalzoom.com/my/login
- Enter your username and password
- On the verification screen, select:
“I can’t access my device”
Verify Your Identity
To protect your account, you’ll be asked to verify your identity using one of the following government-issued IDs:
- U.S. driver’s license
- U.S. state ID
- Passport
During verification, you will:
- Accept Stripe’s identity verification terms
- Scan the QR code (or select Other options)
- Upload photos of your identification document
Set Up a New MFA Method
Once your identity has been verified, you can:
- Add a new phone number for MFA
- Connect a new authentication app
This new method will be used the next time you log in.
Trouble Completing Verification?
If you cannot complete the automated verification process:
- Select “Manually verify without biometrics”
- An AI chat will start and you will need to type a relevant keyword, such as "MFA reset," to get connected with an MFA specalist.
- The agent will initiate a live Zoom verification session to confirm your identity
- You will need a hard copy of one supporting document for the MFA reset, in addition to the primary
Supporting document options include:
- W-2
- Paystub
- A utility bill
- Credit card statement
- Social security card
- Birth certificate
- US military card
After Resetting MFA
Once your MFA reset is complete:
- Return to: https://app.earthclassmail.com/
- Sign in using your updated MFA method
