You can create an unlimited number of custom tags to label and filter mail according to your preferred criteria, such as company department, document type, or action to take. As the amount of mail in your account increases, you’ll be able to conveniently organize and quickly access specific types of mail items.
Creating and Applying Custom Tags
1. Click the gear icon on the tag panel to access your Tags page. The page may also be accessed by clicking Menu > Settings > Tags.
The Tags page will appear.
Note that Earth Class Mail includes a number of system tags that automatically classify certain types of mail. The system tags may also be used to filter your inbox. To learn more about filtering mail with tags, click here.
2. Enter a custom tag in the bar, and hit enter.
Your tag will now appear beneath the Available Custom Tags. The number next to the tag indicates how many pieces of mail have been classified with the custom tag. To delete the tag, simply click the "x" beside the tag.
3. Now that you’ve created a custom tag, to apply it to an item, return to your mailbox and click on the blue tag icon underneath the sender’s name. Select the custom tag you want to apply from the drop-down menu.
The tag will then appear beneath the sender’s name. You may remove it at any time by selecting the “x” beside the tag.
You can now filter mail using both system and custom tags. From your inbox, simply select a tag from your tags list and only mail items classified with that tag will be shown in your inbox. To learn more about filtering the mail in your inbox, click here.
