You can request that your mail be opened and scanned so you can securely view the contents online.
Note: Auto-scanning is enabled by default for most accounts. You can manage or customize auto-scan behavior using account automations.
Scanning Mail Items
- Log in to your Virtual Mail account.
- Navigate to your MailRoom Inbox
- Select the mail item you want to scan.
- Click Scan from the top menu bar.

Choose what should happen to the physical mail item after it is scanned.

Keep the physical mail item in storage after scanning.Shred
Permanently destroy the physical mail item after scanning.
- Click Scan to submit your request.
Once your scan request is submitted, the mail item status will move to 'pending scan' until the scan is completed.
Re-Scanning Mail
You may request a re-scan for the following situations:
- A partial or incomplete initial scan
- A belief that a check was not included in the original content scan
- Another situation in which you believe your mail was not properly scanned
If you think a page is missing, the scan was cut off, or the document was not fully captured, please contact Customer Care to request a re-scan at support@earthclassmail.com.
